Desert Megaphone
Sabre-tooth Tiger Petroglyph
Desert Megaphone
On top of a stone formation about a hundred or so feet above the Mojave Desert floor
(in a location between Ludlow and Baker, CA.), the pictured object which has been
termed “The Desert Megaphone” in local folklore. Its location and presence are not a
mystery, but just about everything else about it is. The first mystery is how did it get
there?
It appears to be old, and there is no indication how an individual or individuals got it
up there. There are no roads or paths, just rocks to climb. Considering what this thing
would weigh, it would seem impossible to get it up there by hand, and its age would
not allow a helicopter placement. The lack of roads would explain any placement by a
crane is not possible.
It is also embedded deep into the rocks at two locations, indicating whoever put it up
there, wanted it to stay. There are no signs of other relics or activity in close proximity
to this object, making its purpose for use a complete mystery.
Sabre-tooth Tiger Petroglyph
Near Sedona, AZ this petroglyph of a sabre-tooth tiger appears on a rock formation.
The interesting thing is the size and that it's depicted with humans that inhabited
the area at the most 1000 years ago. Did a saber-toothed Tiger survive long past its
believed lifetime?
Deer On A Pole
Deer On A Pole
This pictures was taken in the Northeast section of the United States in an extremely
rural area. There is a whitetail doe stuck on top of a power pole. If you notice the
back hooves are clipped off.
There is a train track several yards away and there is a possibility that the deer was
struck and tossed into the air landing on the pole. The deer would have to have
traveled in the air approximately 45 feet across to the pole and reach a height of
approximately 22 feet to reach the top of the pole.

When Barney Broom began renovating his cottage he did not expect to be confronted
by a pair of black eyes staring from a cloudy jar.
But the mysterious discovery of an alien in his attic has spooked the 54-year-old
screenwriter and bewildered extraterrestrial experts, who yesterday suggested the US
military could be involved.

The delicate 30cm (12 inch) figure of a baby alien is stored in a pungent liquid and
has a US serial number painted on its four-toed foot.

Curiously, the alien was discovered stored in an old toffee jar wrapped in a copy of
the Daily Mirror dating from October 1947. In July of that year, officials at the
American air base of Roswell reported and then denied finding the remains of a flying
saucer.

One theory is that the alien was left in the loft by a US serviceman working at a
nearby US air base. Mr Broom's two-bedroom cottage at Gunthorpe, north Norfolk,
which he bought eight months ago, is 45 miles from two large US air bases at RAF
Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall. Many US servicemen and women live and work in the
region.
First Men on Moon Saw UFOs
July 25, 2006

In the documentary "Apollo 11: The Untold Story," shown on Britain's Channel Five on
Monday night, July 24, 2006 astronaut Buzz Aldrin says he, Neil Armstrong and
Michael Collins all saw a UFO shadowing their spacecraft. Apollo 11, which took off
on July 16, 1969, was the first manned mission to the moon. Aldrin says, "There was
something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be?"
In the documentary, he says, "Now, obviously the three of us weren't going to blurt
out, 'Hey, Houston, we've got something moving alongside of us and we don't know
what it is,' you know? We weren't about to do that, because we knew that that those
transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people and somebody might have
demanded we turn back because of aliens or whatever the reason is." He says NASA
knew about the UFO but covered up the information.

A fragment of the 2,100-year-old Antikythera Mechanism, believed to be the earliest
surviving mechanical computing device, is seen at the National Archaeological Museum
in Athens, The bronze system of cogs and wheels was found in a Roman wreck off
southern Greece in 1900. They are claimed to have identified a handful of puzzling
metal scraps found in a ship wreck as the earliest known mechanical computing device,
which pinpointed astronomical events.

Comet McNaught
Comet McNaught (C/2006 P1) is plunging toward the Sun and brightening dramatically.
It is now visible both at sunset and at dawn. In the morning, the comet emerges just
ahead of the rising sun. In the evening, it pops out of the western twilight as soon as
the sun sets. In both cases, a clear view of the horizon is essential.

Glenn Kimball writes: "There are over a hundred thousand man made mounds located
from the East Coast to west of the Mississippi and from Canada to Mexico. One in
eight of them have produced some sort of artifact. There were also golden, copper
and silver artifacts, jewelry, tools and weapons found. The writing on the stone varies
with the region, but the ones here are all written in ancient Negev, which was a
written language from south of Jerusalem into Egypt. Other languages included
languages composed of mixtures of Coptic, Greece and Hebrew. The stones were
carved from a variety of stones 'indigenous to the area'. Some of them were made of
clay so that they were easier to work with."
Kimball also noted that some of these artifacts carbon dated to
B.C.1800.
For more on ancient travels to the Americas, Kimball recommended the new book
Secret Voyages to the New World by Gunnar Thompson which contains ancient maps
and records of nine voyages to the Americas before Columbus' discovery of America.

Scientists say nerves use sound, not electricity
added March 12, 2007
The common view that nerves transmit impulses through electricity is wrong and they
really transmit sound, according to a team of Danish scientists.
The Copenhagen University researchers argue that biology and medical textbooks that
say nerves relay electrical impulses from the brain to the rest of the body are
incorrect.
"For us as physicists, this cannot be the explanation," said Thomas Heimburg, an
associate professor at the university's Niels Bohr Institute. "The physical laws of
thermodynamics tell us that electrical impulses must produce heat as they travel
along the nerve, but experiments find that no such heat is produced."
Heimburg, an expert in biophysics who received his PhD from the Max Planck Institute
in Goettingen, Germany — where biologists and physicists often work together in a
rare arrangement — developed the theory with Copenhagen University's Andrew
Jackson, an expert in theoretical physics.
According to the traditional explanation of molecular biology, an electrical pulse is
sent from one end of the nerve to the other with the help of electrically charged salts
that pass through ion channels and a membrane that sheathes the nerves. That
membrane is made of lipids and proteins.
Heimburg and Jackson theorize that sound propagation is a much more likely
explanation. Although sound waves usually weaken as they spread out, a medium
with the right physical properties could create a special kind of sound pulse or
"soliton" that can propagate without spreading or losing strength.
The physicists say because the nerve membrane is made of a material similar to olive
oil that can change from liquid to solid through temperature variations, they can
freeze and propagate the solitons.
The scientists, whose work is in the Biophysical Society's Biophysical Journal,
suggested that anesthetics change the melting point of the membrane and make it
impossible for their theorized sound pulses to propagate.
The researchers could not immediately be reached for comment.
